The Erasmus+ National Agency INDIRE has approved my proposal for extra-EU international mobility agreement between the Cà Foscari University of Venice (UNIVE) and the University of Cape Verde (Uni-CV) within the Erasmus+ KA171 International Credit Mobility (ICM) program financed by the European Union. The project, presented in the last call (February 2024), obtained a rating of 94/100.
The proposal was the only one which has no suffered a cut in the budget requested during the application phase, unlike the other four proposals submitted by Cà Foscari, that were approved by the E+ Agency with reductions between 50% and 80% due to geographical balance reasons and lack of funds.
Student mobility can take place starting from the academic year 2025-26, while teaching and administrative staff mobility could begin in spring 2025.
Erasmus+ Key Action KA171 International Credit Mobility (ICM) supports mobility projects outside the European Union, consistent with the internationalisation strategy of Ca’ Foscari University. The objective of this specific action of the Program is to promote the international mobility of students and teaching and technical-administrative staff to and from non-EU countries, thanks to the financial support to projects involving Ca’ Foscari and partner universities – e.g., the University of Cape Verde – which can be submitted annually.
I sincerely thank the staff of the Projects Unit of the International Office of Cà Foscari for the invaluable support in submitting this successful project proposal.
