New Publication: The EU as an Architect of Global Digital Governance

My new scholarly article, entitled “The European Union as an architect of global digital governance: fundamental rights and platform regulation”, has been published.

The short essay is featured in Rassegna europea (Vol. 31, No. 55, pp. 69–71). Rassegna europea is an open-access academic journal, included by ANVUR—the Italian National Agency for the Evaluation of the University and Research System—in the official list of scientific journals for Research Area 14 (Political and Social Sciences). The journal is freely accessible, and its issues can be downloaded in PDF format from: https://www.accademia-europeista.eu/rassegna-europea/ or https://www.accademia-europeista.eu/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/055-Dicembre-2025.pdf.

The analysis examines the European Union's increasingly central role in shaping global standards for the regulation of the digital sphere, focusing on the critical balance between promoting a model grounded in fundamental rights and the need to effectively regulate major technology platforms.

This publication contributes to the ongoing academic and policy debate on one of the most strategic and dynamic fields of action for the EU's future.
