We are pleased to announce the 3rd Congress on Law and Public Security, organised by the University of Cabo Verde (Uni-CV) , in partnership with the Faculty of Law of the University of Porto (Portugal).
The Congress will take place from 3 to 5 June 2026 at the Palmarejo Grande Campus in Praia, Cabo Verde, in hybrid format (in-person and online). Participation is free of charge.
📌 Call for Papers
Researchers, academics, practitioners, and students are invited to submit abstracts (up to 300 words) by 30 April 2026 to the email address: [email protected]
The thematic areas include, but are not limited to:
Criminal justice, restorative justice, and multi-door models
Constitution, fundamental rights, and democratic governance
Public security, policing, crime prevention, and crisis management
Cybersecurity, emerging technologies, and data protection
Organized crime, urban violence, and institutional responses
Public administration, justice policies, and legislative reforms
Mediation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution
International law, police cooperation, and regional security
Community protection and social resilience
Socio-legal studies with a focus on Cabo Verde
