Call for Papers Open – 3rd Congress on Law and Public Security (Uni-CV, Cabo Verde, 3–5 June 2026)

We are pleased to announce the 3rd Congress on Law and Public Security, organised by the University of Cabo Verde (Uni-CV) , in partnership with the Faculty of Law of the University of Porto (Portugal).

The Congress will take place from 3 to 5 June 2026 at the Palmarejo Grande Campus in Praia, Cabo Verde, in hybrid format (in-person and online). Participation is free of charge.

📌 Call for Papers
Researchers, academics, practitioners, and students are invited to submit abstracts (up to 300 words) by 30 April 2026 to the email address: [email protected]

The thematic areas include, but are not limited to:

  • Criminal justice, restorative justice, and multi-door models

  • Constitution, fundamental rights, and democratic governance

  • Public security, policing, crime prevention, and crisis management

  • Cybersecurity, emerging technologies, and data protection

  • Organized crime, urban violence, and institutional responses

  • Public administration, justice policies, and legislative reforms

  • Mediation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution

  • International law, police cooperation, and regional security

  • Community protection and social resilience

  • Socio-legal studies with a focus on Cabo Verde
