European Commission awards second Seal of Excellence to my MSCA project proposal

I am pleased to announce that my project proposal AIMPER – AI-driven Immersive Manipulation, Perception & Resilience (Horizon TMA MSCA-PF-EF – Postdoctoral Fellowships – European Fellowships, proposal No. 101268453), submitted under the call HORIZON-MSCA-2025-PF, has been awarded the Seal of Excellence by the European Commission, with a score of 88.40%.

The Seal of Excellence is a quality label awarded to high‑quality project proposals that successfully passed all evaluation thresholds but could not be funded due to budgetary constraints. It recognises scientific excellence, innovation potential, and societal relevance.

This is my second Seal of Excellence. The first one was awarded to me in 2021 for my proposal under the Horizon 2020 MSCA Individual Fellowships 2020 call (Standard European Fellowships – EF-ST, Ref. 101018114-EDT), which achieved a score of 91%.

The current proposal was submitted in partnership with Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), one of Portugal’s leading engineering and research institutions. A heartfelt thank you to Prof. Joaquim Jorge and Prof. Catarina Moreira for their trust and guidance – we will reapply this year, with the goal of securing the funding!

This recognition strongly encourages me to continue my research on AI‑driven manipulation, cognitive resilience, and immersive technologies. The Seal of Excellence also opens opportunities to seek alternative funding from national, regional, or private sources.
